The birth charts were a perfect match - Simmy, the imported Indian bride, was meant to bring good fortune to her unlucky in-laws, but Raj, the groom, has run away before the honeymoon has even begun. Until he returns, her mother-in-law has locked Simmy in the house, where she spends her days keeping the diabetic grandad away from the jalebis. Alone and in need of a friend, everything changes when Harry, the elder son, returns home for the summer. With the Aunties on gossip overdrive, will Simmy ever be able to escape?
